Ladies and Gentlemen... Suffice to say that in the search for more efficient ways to waste time, I have hit upon the absolute gold standard. It started innocently, with my little brother showing me a page that he had found on YouTube. This was interesting in that it contained an animation of the Potter Puppet Pals, who we will find out, are central to this new way to waste time. The animations that are listed on YouTube related to the Potter Pals are extensive, so I will link in, in brief, my personal favorites so that you understand the spirit of the idea.
This one is about long distance fruit. It's oddly a-peel-ing.
Bananaphone
For the Russophiles out there, here are some Germans singing a song about Moscow. And for the more historically enlightened who think that's funny, wait until you hear the music. (The eighties called... they want their synth back.)
Moskau
This is for all those Queen fans out there... who enjoy cerebral hemorrhaging. This song is similar to what would happen if the Reverend Horton Heat sung Bohemian Rhapsody, with a band on loan from the Loony Tunes and with Chipmunk backup singers.
Bohemian Rhapsody
And finally, this song is for all those bearing pent up aggression towards the Harry Potter Characters, possibly after the release of the latest Harry Potter sequel movie (Harry Potter and the Overwrought Franchise)... the reason becomes apparent at the end.
Mysterious Ticking Noise
And both have several videos up on YouTube...
However, watching the movies is only second best. What you really want to do, of course, is make one. And fortunately for us, some people with a lot of free time made a way to do so. So, here are the basic instructions for your own Harry Potter Puppet Pal Madness.... Just take a paint Program (Many use MS paint. I would recommend this only for the computer user who likes to swear at the screen. I use Paint.net, which is free and can be found online. I would link, but it's an official program, so they have rules about that. However, it is simple, intuitive, and much better then MS Paint.), and any standard movie compiler (Again, several are available... I personally use Windows Movie Maker, which, if not exceptional, is certainly sufficient. However, I think it came with the computer, IE, may not be free. I accept no responsibility for the stupid things people do trying to get it free, even and especially if it really is.) Then, you go here....

...And arrange each frame, take a screenshot (using the PrtScrn Button on the keyboard usually), process them through the paint program for any special effects ect... , and put them together into a video. It's a simple as that.
Good luck with your Harry Potter Movie Madness. Stay tuned and check back often as I continue to report on ever more interesting ways to waste time.
